Grid nodes
Note Check the solidDB Release Notes for any limitations that are associated with using a grid in the current release.
A solidDB grid node is very similar to a solidDB standalone node. Both node types have the following characteristics:
are single processes that responds to client requests,
have one or more database, transaction log, and message files,
have a configuration file and a license file,
can be accessed by running SQL statements and executing admin commands.
A grid node also contains metadata and information about other grid nodes.
