Process Map diagrams
The Process Map diagram is identical in functionality to the Process Chart diagram.
In earlier versions of System Architect, the difference between the two diagrams was that the Process Chart diagram did not support swimlanes. The Process Map diagram existed specifically to enable users to map workflow against the parts of the organization where work was performed. The Process Chart diagram has been enabled to support swimlanes, making the two diagrams identical. Process Map diagrams remain in the product to enable existing users to maintain their diagrams. It is recommended that new users use the Process Chart diagram to model workflow, unless they want to specifically maintain two different diagrams for each workflow: one that shows swimlanes and one that does not.
