System Architect and Arabic characters
The following configuration changes are required in order for System Architect to display Arabic characters correctly on non-Arabic Windows.
1 Set the default System Architect fonts
In System Architect, select the Tools > Sessions Options menu. Set the following options to a font that supports Arabic characters (for example, Arabic Transparent). Note the use of a single quote bounding the font name.

4 Inputting Arabic characters
If you left English as the default input language in step 3 above, start System Architect and set the current input language to Arabic using the language bar in your task bar. You can use the language bar to change the current input language to English or Arabic.
5 Symbols
When adding a new symbol to a diagram in System Architect, the default font will be Arial. In order for symbols to display Arabic characters, the symbol font must be set to an appropriate font (for example, Arabic Transparent):
a Select the symbol, and then in the font selector tool bar select Arabic Transparent.
b With the symbol still selected, go to the Format menu and select Symbol Format > Symbol Style.
c Check the Font style option, and then click OK.

The default font for the selected symbol type, in this example Process symbols on a Business Process diagram, will be set to Arabic Transparent. Any new process symbols will default to this font. You will need to set the default font for every symbol type. Be sure to save these changes to your stylesheet so they are used for your next System Architect session.
