Using Heat Map Manager to depict imported elements
While the data is worked on in Focal Point®, it can be visualized and prioritized. When it is imported back into System Architect, you can prioritize the data and visualize it with the Heat Map Manager, through analytics. The exported and imported data consists of Application definitions, in the Application Portfolio Management profile, which you can visualize in the System Architecture diagrams that contain Application symbols defined by those Application definitions.
This is done through the Analytic Collection definition named Apply Rank, which contains Associated Analytics definitions named "Top Ranked", "Middle Ranked," and "Bottom Ranked. Each of the Associated Analytics type is macro-based. When the Apply Rank Analytic Collection is applied on the currently opened diagram, the 'Apply Rank.mac' macro is executed, and it colors the Application symbols according to the Rank that was applied in Focal Point®, before the data was imported back into System Architect.
This graphic is described in the surrounding text.
