Information

Information is a type of Resource: it inherits Resource's properties and behavior.

The DoDAF 2 metamodel (DM2) for Information is implemented as follows:

You can model information on the following diagrams:

▪OV-02 Operational Resource Flow: You can specify Information that gets passed between Performers on the Resource Flow line. See OV-02 Operational Resource Flow Description and Alternative diagrams (DoDAF 2).

▪You can specify that an Activity effects change on Information by drawing an ActivityChangesResource line from an Activity to an Information symbol on an OV-2 diagram.

ArchitecturalDescription

ArchitecturalDescription is used to describe the architecture. An Activity Model is an example of an Architectural Description. Two subtypes of Architectural Description are called out – the AV-01 and the Manifest – because of their importance in discovery and exchange, respectively. Note that the AV-01 information can also be provided in a structured manner, using the Project data group to describe the architecture project's goals, timeline, activities, resources, productions, rules, measures, etc.
