Building NCV-5 Organizational Resource to Capability matrices for NAF 3
The NCV-5 View shows deployment of Capabilities to specific organizations. You can use the NCV-5 Organizational Resource to Capability matrix to specify what Organizational Resources need or provide a particular Capability.
An NCV-5 diagram should be employed as a summary of the delivery schedules for capabilities. As a best practice, do not overwhelm the diagram with capabilities and organizations.
1 Click View > Matrix Browser.
2 In the Matrix Browser, click the NAF tab; then double-click NCV-5 Organizational Resource to Capability.
This matrix is multidimensional, therefore all three NCV-5 matrices load at once.
3 In the Matrix Filters dialog box, click OK.
4 In the matrix listing the Organizational Resources and the Capabilities in your architecture, click the NCV-5 Organizational Resource to Capability matrix tab.
5 To specify what Organizational Resources need or provide a particular Capability, locate the box at the intersection of the Organizational Resource and the Capability that you want to add; then click the intersecting box.
An “X” appears in the box. This adds an Organizational Resource to the Capability.
You can now view the Capability definition and see that the Organizational Resource has been added to its Organizational Mappings property.
