Displaying and editing NCV-5 View matrices for NAF 3
The NCV-5 View is used to support the capability management process. You can display and edit a series of NCV-5 matrices.
The Capability to Functional Resource Mapping shows deployment of resources, such as systems and software, in types of organizations, such as echelons, and the connections between those resources, to satisfy the military capability for a particular period of time or Epoch. If necessary, the view can show how all relevant DLODs combine to provide the fielded capability.
The view is used to support the capability management process. The specific types of analysis that can be supported include:
Capability redundancy, overlap, and gap analysis
Identification of deployment level shortfalls
Identification of System connectivity issues
Requirements for System interoperability by Organization
Identification of System legacy issues
Assessment of Capability and System options
The NCV-5 View is displayed as a multidimensional matrix, consisting of the following pages:
Organizational Resource to Capability: links a Capability with an Organizational Resource.
Organizational Resource to Functional Resource: links a Functional Resource with an Organizational Resource.
Functional Resource to Capability: links a Functional Resource with a Capability.
