You can model the applications architecture for TOGAF Phase C using various TOGAF Viewpoints.
Catalogs
The catalogs listed below are available as internal reports as well. Use the System Architect Report Generator and open Togaf9Catalog.rpt in the Reports directory to run the reports.
Application portfolio catalog
Captured through the Application definition, which indicates the Services those applications provide. The Application can be specified as Logical or Physical in the definition dialog box.
Interface catalog
a report that you can write and run that shows Application Components (Logical or Physical) and the Application Components they connect to, which you specify via the Application to Application Interface matrix.
Matrices
System/Organization matrix
A two-dimensional table with Logical Application Component on one axis and Organizational Unit on the other axis.
Role/System matrix
Use the Role to Logical Application Component matrix. To access, select View, Matrix Browser and in the Matrix Browser dialog. This matrix is located in the TOGAF pane.
System/Function matrix
Depicts the relationship between systems or application components and business functions within the enterprise. Use the Function to Application Component matrix.
Application interaction matrix
Use the Application to Application Interface matrix to depict communications relationships between systems (or more specifically, Application Components). The Application to Application Interface matrix is accessed via the Matrix Editor -- select View, Matrix Browser, and select the TOGAF pane.
