Synchronizing data

Update the data in Focal Point^® with the latest changes made in the Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management applications by synchronizing the data of these applications. Synchronizing the data for an element synchronizes all the elements in the view.

Before you begin

Add the Synchronize data with CLM Server view command to your view. For more information, see Adding view commands for bulk operations on artifacts in Rational solution for Collaborative Lifecycle Management applications.

Procedure

1 Open the project view that has the view command to synchronize data.

2 Click an element.

3 Click the Synchronize data with CLM Server

icon.

If there are any errors, the synchronization fails. In case of warnings, however, the synchronization proceeds to completion.
