Module 1: Create users and workspaces
This module is intended for global administrators. The lessons describe initial administrative actions, such as creating a workspace and adding users. The actions described in this module must be performed before regular users can get started with Focal Point®.
Learning objectives
After you complete the lessons in this module, you will know how to do the following tasks:
Log in to the product
Add users to the database
Create a workspace
Add users as members to the workspace
Time required
This module takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
Prerequisites
You must have Focal Point® installed and have access to a user with the global administrator role.
Lessons in this module
Lesson 1: Log in
This lesson describes how to log in to Focal Point®.
Lesson 2: Create users
All users must have individual user accounts to be able to log in. In this lesson, you create some users.
Lesson 3: Create workspaces
In workspaces, you can manage and display modules that contain elements with a common set of attributes. In this lesson, you create a workspace named Cars, where car modules will be created.
Lesson 4: Add members to a workspace
Users must be added as members to access workspaces. In this lesson, you add users as members with different permissions to the workspace Cars.
