Optional tasks
▪Add indexes to any existing sample tables to improve performance
▪If your site uses telephone interviewing, increase the size of the appRequestQueueLimit setting for the .NET Framework.
▪If your site uses telephone interviewing, change the thread configuration settings for the interviewing engine and the .NET Framework to avoid requests being queued due to blocked thread pools.
▪Install the Load Tool
▪Configure the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin Email activity
▪Increase the number and/or size of the log files
▪Create a hosts file that will allow UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server services to communicate across a firewall
▪Set up your website to use SSL
▪Change the Interview Engine load balancing algorithm used to distribute interviews to the Interview Service computers
▪If you are using SQL Server and a named instance, edit SampleMgtGUI.Config.xml to control the servers available to the Participants and Activate activities
▪If you are upgrading from a previous version of UNICOM Intelligence Server, and you want to query your old log files (from the Manage Logs activity for example), copy the old logs from the previous version's log directory to the new UNICOM Intelligence Server log location (by default, [INSTALL_FOLDER]\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\7\Interviewer Server Administration\ Logs).
▪Add a shortcut icon file (favicon.ico) to the root of the website. Modern web browsers request a shortcut icon each time a page is viewed. When the file is missing, HTTP 404 errors can occur. For more information, see the Microsoft article, “How to add a shortcut icon to a web page”:
