Dictionary menu: Export Definitions
The Export Definitions command exports data dictionary entries to an text file.
The format for exported data is either text format or comma-separated value (CSV) format. A single ASCII file contains only one type of dictionary entry: for example, only element definitions, only process definitions, or only data flow expressions. The data dictionary type is selected from those available in the export dialog box.
The name of the dictionary entry is enclosed in << and >>. Text to be ignored will be surrounded with comment prefix (/*) and comment suffix (*/). You can specify a different comment prefix and comment suffix (of up to four characters) in the export dialog.
The default location for the text file is the startup directory. You can also type a include a complete path name to specify a different location.
A report of exported data is displayed when the export has finished.
