ASCIIFILE subcommand
Three subcommands are used within the
SETTING command
to specify the defaults for directing the output of the report:
SETTING { DISPLAY [ YES | NO ]
PRINT [ YES | NO ]
ASCIIFILE
file-name
}
Note
For details on the other
SETTING
subcommands, see
DISPLAY subcommand
and
PRINT subcommand
.
The
ASCIIFILE
subcommand is used when directing the output of a report to a file. It enables you to specify a DOS filename value, that is used to save the unformatted ASCII report.
Note
The
ASCIIFILE
subcommand can only be placed in a report in text mode. For more information, refer to
Edit <report name> – Text Mode dialog
.
