UNICOM Intelligence Load Tool
UNICOM Intelligence Load Tool is a program that you can run to test UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer performance in various scenarios. It is particularly useful for simulating live interviewing across a number of projects that are running simultaneously, where it can highlight potential problems with system loading before the projects go live. You can also use it to test and evaluate the effect of changes in your system configuration before implementing them.
Note When testing phone surveys, Enable monitoring/recording must be selected and Automatically select next contact must not be selected. The settings are on the Interview Settings tab in the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer Interviewing Options activity. For more information, see “Interview settings” in the UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer - Server Admin User's Guide.
With UNICOM Intelligence Load Tool you can:
▪Automatically run varying numbers of interviews using multiple URLs on any number of projects.
▪Simulate typical respondent behavior by specifying the percentage use of the Next, Previous, Stop and Goto buttons in the test, and the percentage of incorrect answers. See
Respondent tab.
▪Define data generation parameters, including auto-answer data sources connections, number of cases, and so on. See
Data Generation tab.
▪Test that a questionnaire runs through all routing and has no infinite loops. (This can also be done in UNICOM Intelligence Professional using the same Auto Answer generator as is used by UNICOM Intelligence Interviewer UNICOM Intelligence Load Tool.)
▪Generate and save timing information on a per page basis. See
Timings.
▪Save test specifications and reload them.
▪Save the test configuration, timings, and debug logs in a standard format.
▪View the test configuration, timings, and debug logs from within UNICOM Intelligence Load Tool.
▪Change certain test characteristics while a test is running.
▪Pause a test part-way through. See
Running tests for more information.
▪Specify a random seed for the Random Answer player so that any interview within a test scenario can be identically reproduced. See
Data Generation tab for more information.
