Resource
The DoDAF 2 metamodel (DM2) for Information is implemented as shown below:
This graphic is described in the surrounding text.
Relating resource to location
The Location that a Resource is located at is specified by the resourceInLocationType relationship line, that is drawn between Location and Resource on OV-01 High Level Operational Concept diagrams.
Resource flows
You can specify information that flows between resources through a resource flow line (see ‘Resource flow’ in Relationships of the DoDAF 2 metamodel), which can be drawn between Resources on the following diagram types:
OV-02 Operational Resource Flow diagram (between Performers, a type of Resource) (see OV-02 Operational Resource Flow Description and Alternative diagrams (DoDAF 2))
SV-1 System Interface Description diagrams (DoDAF 2) (between Systems, a type of Performer, which is a type of Resource).
Diagrams on which you can draw resources
Resource can be modeled on the following diagram types in DoDAF 2:
OV-01 High Level Operational Concept diagrams
CV-01 Vision diagrams (DoDAF 2)
OV-02 Operational Resource Flow Description and Alternative diagrams (DoDAF 2): You can draw Performers (a type of Resource) and Resource Flows between them.
OV-02 Operational Resource Flow alternative diagrams
OV-04 Organizational Relationships Chart diagrams (DoDAF 2)
OV-05b Operational Activity Model diagrams (DoDAF 2)
SV-1 System Interface Description diagrams (DoDAF 2)
SV-2 Systems Resource Flow Description diagrams (DoDAF 2)

Materiel
Materiel is a type of resource. Materiel represents equipment, apparatus, or supplies that are of interest, without distinction as to its application for administrative or combat purposes.
You can draw Materiel on the following diagrams:
OV-02 Operational Resource Flow Description and Alternative diagrams (DoDAF 2): You can draw Materiel and specify what Activity effects change on Materiel by drawing an ActivityChangesResource line from an Activity to a Materiel symbol.
CV-01 Vision diagrams (DoDAF 2)
System
System is a type of Performer, and therefore a type of Resource.
You can draw System on the following diagram types:
SV-1 System Interface Description diagrams (DoDAF 2)
SV-2 Systems Resource Flow Description diagrams (DoDAF 2)
OV-02 Operational Resource Flow alternative diagrams
